Guided Fishing Half day trips (4 hours): $140.00 Full day trip (8 hours) with your choice of a lunch break: $240.00 I've fished my whole life and started guiding 5 years ago, all I do is fish; its my job, my hobby, my passion. I know where the fish are. Fishing guide: Tyler Brasel  I guide out of a VERY ROOMY, VERY DRY 2090 warrior, with a 175 merc optimax tiller with hydraulic steering to get to and from with ease. I can take groups of up to 5 people. I will provide all tackle and bait. So all you will need to bring is a snack/lunch, your MN Fishing license and the sunscreen!  The pic below is from this last spring 4 guys 40 crappies, released many other. This is NOT uncommon for spring fishing up on Upper Red Lake! If you like to catch URL crappies and have never tried spring or would just like to be put on crappies this is definitely for you! When they are shallow I'm on them!  SPRING RAINY RIVER WALLEYES AND STURGEON We now offer Early Spring Rainy River trips: We live only 45 minutes away from some of the finest spring Walleyes and Sturgeon fishing you'll ever encounter. Multiple fish within the 30'' range are nothing uncommon! March 1st-April 14th is when the season is open on Rainy. It depends on when mother nature breaks the ice up for it to be fishable. Call for more information on this trip or on how the river is doing!  27'' Walleye from the Rainy River  Not a monster but the pigs are in there and man are they a hoot to catch! SPRING/SUMMER Walleyes  Once Walleye open up you have the opportunity to have some of the best fishing you'll ever experience. Catching 300 Walleye a day is very common as this is when the females are still in shallow and we can get into some very nice fish! Once again I'll provide everything if you'd like, but you may also bring your own gear. Here's Don and his nice 27'' URL eye!  One thing nice about having this beautiful river, if the lake is too windy to fish, I can show you some honey holes in the Tamarac River where you'll catch fish just as good if not better than the lake! URL GATORS Once the heat starts warming the water up that's when the Pike turn on! I'd prefer to use my tackle/rods etc. as you need the right equipment for this type of fishing. The average pike in URL is anywhere from 36-40'' with some fish over 45'' seen regularly. We've had days with clients boating over 20 pike! We would either be trolling plugs, spoons or casting bucktails or topwater lures depending on the weather and where the fish are. If your into pike fishing this is a blast or if your just looking for that fish of a lifetime, UPPER RED LAKE is where you will find it!! Don with a 46'' GATOR!   We highly promote CPR, but if you would like we have a taxidermist that has 28 years of experience, so if you'd like to get a mount of your trophy catch/harvest we can do it right here at bear paw! |
